Nexus Organics was established to address the growing U.S. consumer need for health & wellness products that are organic, non-GMO, and free of harmful chemicals and toxins. The founders of Nexus Organics are a Peruvian-American and his wife who have personally experienced the rich bio-diversity of Peru, home to a wide variety of fruits, plants, and grains with some of the highest nutritional and health benefits (also known as Superfoods). The founders also bring over 15 years of combined experience in U.S. consumer goods and the health & wellness industries.
The vision of Nexus Organics is to bring Superfoods and plant-based products from Peru to the U.S. market in a wide variety of finished packaged-goods that U.S. consumers can relate to (e.g. cereals, jams, essential oils), while also delivering on the promise of providing a healthier alternative to health & wellness products available in the U.S. market today.
Ismael was born and raised in Lima, Peru, and migrated to the U.S. to pursue a career in business. He earned an undergraduate degree in Business from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and an MBA from Rice University in Houston. After completing his masters degree, he spent over twelve years in the consumer goods and food distribution industries leading high performing teams at Pepsico and Sysco.
Ismael had a dream of bringing Peruvian Superfoods to the U.S. market so that consumers could enjoy their high nutritional content and health benefits. In 2019, this dream became a reality when he partnered with his wife Lisa, a certified Holistic Health Coach, to launch Nexus Organics.
Having been a professional ballet dancer for over 13 years, Lisa understands first hand the importance of taking care of one’s self in body, mind and spirit. Relying on her body as her instrument, her mind as her guide and her spirit as her inspiration, she strives to continue to live out her life’s purpose and passion in all she does. Throughout her career as a dancer, and her 12 years experience in the health and wellness industry as Certified GYROTONIC® Instructor and Holistic Health Coach, she is passionate about sharing the awareness of the importance of holistic lifestyle choices for all in their own personal health journey.
She is thrilled to partner with her Peruvian born husband, Ismael, as Co-Founders of Nexus Organics, bringing together their life’s passion and purpose. Using their combined experience and knowledge, as well as adhering to their core values both personally and professionally, they strive to connect, educate and empower as they make Nexus Organics a trusted and inspiring name in the superfood industry both for the Peruvian suppliers and U.S. consumers.
